The Holiday Gift Shop is located in the First National Bank building on Market Street near the square in Marietta.
The shop is open to the public on weekends from May through December.
The Bank Building was constructed in 1875 to accommodate the growth of the First National Bank of Marietta, which was established in 1863 and has the distinction of being the frst federally chartered bank in Lancaster County, the fifth in Pennsylvania, and the twenty-fifth in the nation. In June 2001, Susquehanna Bancshares, parent company of Farmers First Bank, donated this building to MRA. Bank memorabilia and a 19th century ball vault (pictured at right), the bank’s frst safe, are on display in the bank lobby. A guide will be available to open the ball vault and answer questions. The Holiday Gift Shop is housed in the Bank Building. This shop is a year round fund raising project of MRA and is operated entirely by volunteers. It offers a wide range of well-priced holiday gift and decorating merchandise.
